The last three years I have had the privilege of teaching high school World History, Literature/Composition & Bible. I have also taught Art and Music appreciation and this year (2025/26). I am very excited to be delving into one of my favorite topics, British Literature. While I do have a degree in English and History from a small private college, most of my love for History and English has come from my reading since then and from teaching my own kids.

We have been involved with Scholeio for four years and were impressed from the very beginning by the organization of the program and the balance between parental flexibility and teacher/student accountability.

I am a native of Maryland, a wife to a very patient man, and a mother of five kids. We have lived in Tennessee for more than 20 years and have been homeschooling for the past 17 years. We have graduated three of our five kids, and have three more years before the last two graduate and I finish my homeschooling journey!

I love teaching high school and particularly enjoy conversations with the students, asking them “why,” and hearing them make connections and observations. Highschool is such a rewarding age! When not teaching or doing school, our family works on our Christmas Tree Farm here in Columbia, TN.
